___Here are just a few of the areas investigated during a general exam in our

___office:

________Complete history... we will ask about your medical condition and

________________________medications you may take.

________Eye muscle testing... we will verify that your eye muscles function

________________________properly.

________Refraction... this is the part of the exam that determines your prescription

________________________for glasses.

________Internal... we will thoroughly examine the inside of your eyes, inspecting

________________________the retina, optic nerve, and other areas. This may be

________________________done after dilating your pupils. All of our diabetic

________________________and/or hypertensive patients receive a dilated exam.
